Do underground dog fence's work?
Absolutely, we personally use the system with our 100 pound male Rottweiler.
With over 5 years of experience we have perfected our containment and training system to work without worry.
We wouldn’t install something that if it didn’t work or could potentially harm your dog or someone else. Your pets safety is our priority.
Will this work for my dog?
We have a 100% success rate. With that being said there are some highly agressive dogs that if we feel will not be successful with our system we will not install a fence for both parties safety.
Will the system hurt my dog?
No, it is a static correction which does not use electricity.
When experiencing a correction it is mild and harmless. Once we complete the training the majority of dogs never receive a correction again.
We train the dog to respect the boundary and the fence just acts as added insurance.
Will an underground dog fence cause my dog harm?
No. At Dog Pro, we are proud to offer the latest in underground dog fence innovation that is not harmful to your beloved pets. There are eight individual settings for you to customize the fencing for your dog.
Are underground dog fences costly?
Equipment and installation costs will depend on the size of your property. We can gladly come to your home and provide you with a free estimate. We can say they are less expensive than a traditional fence, require less maintenance and the peace of mind you get knowing your whole property will be protected far out weighs the investment.
How is the underground dog fence installed?
We use a small trencher designed specifically for this application.
It leaves a small 1/4 cut in the yard which usually disappears within a couple of weeks. Most installs achieve a 6” depth.
Can our underground dog fence be installed under water?
Yes, our heavy duty jacket is 100% waterproof and we have installed many fences in the water.

What if neighbors are also using this type of product?
Our transmitter runs on multiple frequencies for this very reason. Upon installation, we’ll simply switch to a frequency that is not going to be interfering with the neighbor’s setup. During the training session with your dog(s), we’ll ensure everything works appropriately, so your furry loved one(s) are secure and protected.
Is the fence safe for pets who are pregnant or nursing?
Yes! Our patented underground dog fence technology is not going to cause any harm to a pregnant or nursing animal. We always keep the safety of your fur babies first and foremost when designing our products.
Can we have multiple dogs on one system?
Yes, and we can adjust the collars settings to each dog.
How many pets can be contained at once?
Our system is designed to accommodate up to 5 dogs but each will need its own collar and unique individual settings for the system to work effectively.
Are the collars uncomfortable or heavy?
Comfort for your furry friends is important to us! We use the latest in lightweight materials to offer the lightest collar in the industry at only 1.1 ounces. Even the smallest of pets will barely notice their collar.
How is my pet protected?
We know it is vital that you don’t hurt your dogs or cats while training, that is why we use soft rubber Comfort Contacts to lessen the chances of any discomfort or pain. We also will set up the collar and fit it during the initial training session to find proper fitment. We will also educate you to what proper fitment is and tips to make sure it isn’t too tight or to loose.
Can the collars get wet?
Yes, they can. We know that your furry friends love to get out and about running and playing and that activity is very likely to include water. Our collars are 100% completely waterproof and can handle whatever your pets might get up to.
Do I need to replace the batteries?
Depending on the amount of use they get, your batteries will need to be replaced every 4-6 months, which is much better than other fencing solutions. There is a battery check feature to let you know when the batteries are getting low and need to be changed. Cost of the batteries are very affordable as to not be an issue for cost beyond the install. We also provide one year of batteries with the install. Simply call us at (402) 880-0966 for maintenance.
What if we move?
No problem! We will come get your equipment and install it at your new property and run a new containment wire. Call us at (402) 880-0966 for more details.
Can the underground dog fence move with me?
Yes. If you move, you can absolutely take all of your equipment with you. We offer a re-run service where we can install your existing equipment at your new location at a less costly investment than the original install! Just give us a call at (402) 880-0966, and we’ll coordinate schedules to get your existing equipment and to visit your new home to survey your new property.
What if my fence stops working?
At Dog Pro, we are always proud to stand by our product, which is why we offer a lifetime guarantee on our equipment. No questions asked, if it stops working we will replace it even if the collar is 20 years old!
What does it feel like to cross the boundary?
There is a static correction if the dog continues into the signal boundary. It is mildly uncomfortable for your pet at best. It can be equated to the light static frequency you might get when you drag your feet on the carpet and then touch a friend. Our goal is to NOT use the correction as a deterrent rather use the audio beeps they get at the beginning of the boundary and the flags as a visual reference.
